This is home. Our shop is at 1701 Rider Rd in Azle. We don't drive an hour to get to your property — we're already here. When you call for an estimate, we're not scheduling around a long commute. We can usually walk your land the same day or next morning.
Azle straddles the Parker County / Tarrant County line near Eagle Mountain Lake. The town has grown fast over the last decade — new construction on the east side pushing toward Lake Worth and Sanctuary, while established 2-10 acre properties spread out to the north and west along FM 730 and Reno Road. The terrain here is classic Cross Timbers: rolling hills covered in post oak and eastern red cedar, with creek bottoms choked with green briar and hackberry.
Soils change depending on where you are. Properties near Eagle Mountain Lake tend toward sandy loam — easier digging, less wear on equipment. Head west toward Springtown and the soil gets heavier with more clay content. Either way, the brush doesn't care — it grows thick everywhere. We clear it all.

Sandy Loam to Heavy Clay
Near Eagle Mountain Lake and along the creek systems, Azle soils are sandy loam — loose, well-drained, and forgiving on tracked equipment. The further west you go toward Parker County, the heavier the clay gets. Clay soil holds water after rain and can turn a cleared lot into a muddy mess if you time it wrong. We watch the weather and schedule accordingly because we know these soils. A crew from Fort Worth doesn't.
Cedar on the Hills, Briar in the Bottoms
Azle's hillier properties — especially north of town along FM 730 and east toward Lake Country — are getting hammered by eastern red cedar. It grows in tight stands, blocks sunlight from native grasses, and drinks an absurd amount of groundwater. In the lower areas and creek bottoms, green briar (catclaw) and honey locust form impenetrable thickets. You can't walk through it, let alone use the land. Forestry mulching handles both.
New Construction Meets Old Acreage
The east side of Azle is turning into subdivision after subdivision. Builders need lots cleared to grade, stumps removed, and debris handled before they can pour a foundation. Meanwhile, the north and west sides still have 2-10 acre homesteads where the owner wants to reclaim a pasture, clear around a barn, or open up a view. We do both types of work every week.
Two Counties, One Crew
Azle's city limits cross from Parker County into Tarrant County. Different counties, different rules on some things — but clearing requirements are similar in both. The bigger difference is the terrain. Parker County side tends hillier with more cedar. Tarrant County side is flatter with more mesquite and open brush. Either way, we know the area because this is where we eat dinner.
